The Challenge
Celebrating 75 years of Bulgari Serpenti presented a dual challenge: honoring a deeply storied luxury icon while making it relevant, desirable, and culturally engaging for a Gen-Z audience. The brand needed to stand out in a city saturated with luxury moments, avoiding conventional retail or museum formats. The experience had to feel elevated yet accessible, exclusive yet public, and heritage-driven without appearing archival.
Additionally, the activation needed to generate sustained footfall and social buzz over two weeks, translating a jewellery icon into a contemporary cultural symbol rather than a static product showcase.

The Strategy
The strategy repositioned Serpenti as a cultural icon rather than a jewellery collection. By framing the anniversary as a public art exhibition, the brand shifted from selling products to telling stories. Art, architecture, and immersion became the language of luxury, enabling emotional connection beyond ownership.
Strategic placement at DIFC Gate ensured visibility, while an open-access model encouraged organic discovery. Layered storytelling—myth, celebrity, regional creativity, and digital art—allowed multiple entry points for diverse audiences. Social amplification was built into the experience through visually striking moments, ensuring that physical engagement translated into digital reach and sustained brand conversation.
The Direction
The creative direction translated Serpenti’s mythology into a spatial journey—fluid, mysterious, and evolving. Each zone embodied a chapter of the icon’s story, moving from legacy and symbolism to contemporary reinterpretation and digital abstraction. Gold hues, sculptural forms, and cinematic lighting echoed Bulgari’s opulence, while immersive installations introduced disruption and modernity.
The experience culminated in a data-driven digital artwork by Refik Anadol, symbolizing Serpenti’s evolution into the future. Overall, the direction balanced restraint with spectacle, ensuring the brand’s elegance remained intact while inviting curiosity, exploration, and emotional immersion.

A bold, illuminated gateway set the tone from the first step, pulling guests into Nissan Kicks’ high-energy world of colour, attitude, and urban confidence before the experience even began.

An illuminated Bulgari Serpenti pavilion marks the exhibition entrance, combining sculpted gold architecture, subtle serpent textures, and a ceremonial stair approach that signals luxury, mythology, and anticipation before guests enter.

A curved immersive LED screen welcomes guests at entry, enveloping them in floating Serpenti jewellery visuals against a dreamlike cityscape, instantly blurring reality and myth while setting an emotional, cinematic tone.

A sculptural reception desk anchors the arrival space, framed by vertical light fins and subtle Serpenti textures, establishing a calm, ceremonial threshold where guests transition from public realm to curated luxury experience.

A refined transition corridor guides guests deeper into the exhibition, where framed Serpenti imagery floats within metallic mesh walls, creating a layered, intimate passage that heightens anticipation and narrative progression.

A timeline gallery traces Bulgari’s evolution from its establishment to its journey into Dubai, combining archival storytelling and regional interpretation to contextualize Serpenti’s global legacy within a contemporary setting.

A bilingual narrative corridor deepens the journey, pairing archival Serpenti storytelling with contemporary displays, allowing guests to absorb the brand’s evolution at a slower, more reflective pace.

A regional artist showcase unfolds within the gallery, featuring sculptural interpretations of Serpenti, supported by bilingual narratives and minimal displays that position contemporary Middle Eastern creativity alongside Bulgari’s enduring icon.

A dedicated artist gallery presents Serpenti-inspired works within illuminated mesh frames, culminating in a central sculptural piece that anchors the space and invites pause, reflection, and contemporary interpretation.

A sculptural Serpenti form stands at the heart of the gallery, surrounded by illuminated artworks, translating the icon’s fluid movement into a tactile centerpiece that embodies transformation, power, and contemporary artistic expression.

Henna-inspired artworks by Dr. Azra reinterpret the Serpenti motif through intricate patterns and human form, celebrating cultural symbolism, craftsmanship, and the dialogue between tradition and Bulgari’s iconic design language.

The Refik Anadol gallery anchors the exhibition, merging data-driven digital art with archival displays, transforming Serpenti’s legacy into an immersive, future-facing installation that bridges luxury heritage and contemporary technology.

A layered transition space uses soft drapery, reflective vitrines, and framed artworks to slow the journey, offering moments of pause while visually connecting multiple exhibition narratives within a refined gallery flow.

A chronological display traces the evolution of the Serpenti collection across 75 years, combining archival imagery, iconic jewellery pieces, and sculptural vitrines to visually map the icon’s enduring design legacy.

A continuation of the Serpenti timeline unfolds through illuminated vitrines and archival storytelling, showcasing key design evolutions and cultural moments that define the collection’s metamorphosis across decades.

A sculpted Serpenti branding wall marks the conclusion of the journey, using embossed textures and illuminated identity to leave guests with a refined, memorable impression of Bulgari’s 75-year legacy.
